Orders are despatched within 48 hours (maximun) of receipt of cleared funds. Currently we send single copies to UK addresses via Royal Mail, using 2nd Class Large Letter Post or Standard Small Parcels services. Both services take 2-4 days. Due to Royal Mail's policy of pricing based on package thickness as well as weight, we are no longer able to despatch our main range of books via letter post, so most orders are sent as Small Parcels. Unfortunately the parcels tariff does not rise incrementally, it just has two prices, one for up to 1kg, the other for 1kg to 2kg, the latter being more than double the first. It is bizarre and grossly unfair, adding an extra £3.00 postage for books weighing over 1kg even by just a few gms. Costs of the above are now shown following the book cost on the stocklist page. We are investigating alternative services for packages between 1 and 2kgs. For packages over 2kgs we use Interlink Express who provide an excellent and tracked next day service at prices well below Royal Mail's untracked 3-4 day service. Please e-mail for cost of 1st class postage, special deliveries, muliple copies and charges for non-UK deliveries. |
